For an Art Class Project Beryl had to take an old black and white photograph and paint it in colour. She chose one of my Mother's most famous photograph, one which had been exhibited in many countries: The Old Flower Seller in Croydon Market, taken in the 1920s.

She loved painting flowers and did not usually like painting faces, so she spent a long time painting the flowers and then threw in the face at the last minute. So its title for exhibition purposes is
